I’m sure you all miss Peniel just as much as I do! I can say that there are many things we all enjoyed there, at Quaker Meadow, but what are the top 3 memories you cherish the most from Peniel 2011? I have a hard time deciding between the worships sessions, the momentous conversations, the games (the fun games, yeah!!!) and enjoyable activities, the insightful workshops, the beautiful walks in the woods for devotional, the amazing friends I have made, and the heartily sincere smiles on people’s faces and the great energy we all felt when the Spirit was moving.
But here they are, my top 3 memories I cherish in my heart:
- Worship sessions. I loved worshiping and praising God on the most amazing songs like “Your Great Name”, “Our God”, and “Rusalii”. I loved the fact that we were there, isolated from the rest of the world, and nothing could have interrupted our connection to heaven. I loved to see everyone lifting their hands and praising God!
- Testimony time on Thursday night. I loved hearing of how God has worked in the youth’s hearts and how He led their steps to Peniel so He can reveal Himself to them. Music to my ears!
- Watching the baseball game between the staff from Quaker Meadow and our talented, energized youth. Wasn’t that just one of the best games? Seeing them slide and fall, then get up and keep running to catch the ball? That visual memory doesn’t just tell me that if we work in team we can be stronger and win, but also that there will be sliding, there will be falling…and when they do happen, will our eyes be kept on the ball, and get up to keep running?
What are your top 3? Leave a comment, this is an open conversation!
